Ekovilla SMART X membrane
Ekovilla Smart X is a vapour barrier membrane with variable vapour resistance. Unlike standard vapour barrier films, the vapour resistance of the Smart X membrane changes depending on the relative humidity of the surrounding air. It allows the structure to dry inward depending on the indoor relative humidity. This feature reduces the risk of moisture condensation within the structure. As a result, both the structure and the insulation are more resistant to the effects of increased moisture within the building envelope compared to standard vapour barriers.

For indoor use as an air and vapour barrier for walls, ceilings, and floors insulated with fibrous insulation materials.
INSTALLATION
Ekovilla Smart X is quick and easy to install. Thanks to its flexibility and tear resistance, it can be installed in many difficult areas. In addition, the transparency of the fabric makes it easier to attach to structural elements, such as timber framing.
We recommend fixing the membrane by stapling at 200 mm intervals, with an overlap of approximately 200 mm. For sealing joints between layers, we recommend Ekovilla X sealing tape. More detailed airtightness instructions are available at: www.ekovilla.com/rakenneopas
